Portraits

I am attracted to the human face in all of my work, but these are singular images of people I love, or have an intimate contact with. Several are commissions. Some are inspired by photographs that have movement and attitude, revealing personality. Some of the subjects posed for me and I drew from life. I feel I have a particular talent for finding a likeness that captures the variety of human faces. I have included some self-portraits as well. These works are in a variety of media: oil paint, charcoal, and watercolor.
